I'm not sure this was apology-worthy. No demonstrable example of an individual actually hearing such a voice, rather than just simple delusions.

The truly strange part is how do they separate the nuts from the liars? If someone claims god told them to shoot up a church, they must be crazy, but if you say god told you to invade Iraq killing hundreds of thousands in the process you get a pass.
