About free republic

I go there once in awhile to observe how truly ugly that side of America can be, and why I need to keep resisting. I usually end up regretting it because it seems hopeless to think they can be reached.

Since Russia installed Trump as Prez, I've noticed an increase in religious postings. Today, of the first 25 posts, 5 are of a religious nature. Of course, none of them are critical of Trump.

How is it that religion always finds its way into the bed of the most reprehensible humans on Earth?

See the OP title. The topic is not about Ghandi. What made you post something completely irrelevant?

It sounds like you are reading it as 'How is it that religion never finds its way into the bed of the best humans on Earth?' Then you appear to have answered a question that wasn't asked.

Another way to phrase the model is how does someone as morally reprehensible as Trump become the anointed head of the most devout people in the US? Hate probably does have quite a bit to do with it, but possibly not in the way you are thinking.

Some people you have to be really specific or they get their undies in a bundle.

Edit your post to say "amerikkka version of christianity" or something more specific.

For those who don't know, Free Republic is a political site the opposite of DU.

are just determined to feel persecuted. When it doesn't happen in reality, they make shit up and get angry about stuff you never said. We see this all the time.

Is this thing okay? Is it not okay? Luckily for you, you can always make an argument how God shares your opinion.

God is a cheap fallback. If nobody else agrees with you, God always will.

will of god. They talk about god being in control. They talk about god's plan. They talk about doing the will of god. They pray for god's help.

So since they are all rapped up in god and feel he and they are in like flint, if they find a reason to support trump, say because they fear losing their place in the pecking order, then trump is part of god's plan.

It is just a natural progression.

When a person of childlike sensibilities and ethics is able to pick up the torch and lead the most devout with great conviction, I just don't see any other reasonable explanations.
