I usually shut them up with the so-called "god inspired word" bullshit:

Please name for me one word, one phrase, one paragraph, chapter, verse....ANYTHING in the bible:

That COULD NOT have been written by a man.

If the bible explained electricity or nuclear physics, I might put some legitimacy in it...sadly, NO.

It has been heavily edited by other humans, and only selected, carefully curated writings actually appear in the Canon.

Many, including myself, believe that religion, including its deities, is wholly a creation of humans. No evidence to the contrary has ever been presented.
