Jai Uttal

Here's a musician from the States that immersed himself in India. He's gone all spiritual which makes him hard for me to take in large doses. I like the fusion of Indian and western music. There are plenty of videos of him online to check out.

Successfully blends Indian percussion into their music without sounding like awful "world" music. But their wishy-washy hippie-dippie spiritualism grates after a while, as well.

I was not familiar with Jai Uttal, but love this music

While I was on Youtube looking for more of his work, I also found this short video:

Thank you again - wishing you well and peace!

Here's a German (Beudi Siebert) who went places and found spirituality in music. Listen to his story and see how similar it is to Jai's.
