Related: About this forumTIA program with Mikey Weinstein on Saturday will be a high security event
Weinstein is a controversial Jew from a military family who is committed to fighting what he calls Christian proselytizing in the military, and what he sees as the threat of a takeover of the military by the Christian Taliban.
Organizers of the Tulsa Interfaith Alliance awards reception at which he is speaking sent out an email this week saying they were unprepared for the level of hatred that is directed against him, and were putting the security measures in place.
Those attending the event will be asked to not bring purses, bags, laptops or backpacks, and to be prepared to go through a metal detector.

Right.
Funny how everyone reading this knows exactly where the hate is coming from, without even checking. And yet they crank up the apologetics like good Palovians and blame people speaking the truth for focusing on the people doing the hating.

I think that All Souls Church deserves a lot of credit for having the courage to host this event in that religiously conservative environment. They are known for taking bold, often unpopular stands for free speech, minority rights, etc. Proud to be an alumnus of the Tulsa congregation.
