I have a question about Hindu ritual artifacts.

A friend of mine just got married. As practicing Hindus, they also had a Hindu ceremony which included the ritual use of a kangling (leg bone trumpet) and a kapala (human skull cup). As the DU religious/spiritual group I might consider diverse enough to include Hinduism and perhaps other practices that use human bones as sacred objects, what are your opinions of these ritual items and their use in modern practice?

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment on the topic. I will cross-post this in the Buddhism and Seekers on Unique Paths groups, too.
