1. A place for happiness, what a concept!

Thank you OGR for starting this. In the past and still a little now I was drawn toward posts that had the uglies all around them, palin, *, etc., but now more than before I would rather be reading or watching a video in a post about the good things in life, like your hockey video or Salmon Enchanted Evening Sunday mornings. I guess I've always wanted to look at the good side of life as opposed to the bad.

2. We so desperately need BALANCE, imho!

I don't want to bury my head in the sand; I want to be aware and informed. But I need to balance that with finding the positive in the world and DOING what I can to create more of it.

I would go absolutely insane if I didn't. I felt DU could use this balance, so I'm grateful Skinner agreed (and grateful that others chimed in so enthusiastically when I posed the question in GD).

I kinda feel I'm going insane anyway...lolol...but at least I'll go down offering something positive to the world.

Also, some of y'all might like the relatively new Interfaith Group. It's a nice version of Religion, as in, we don't allow bashing or any of that negativity you see in the Religion group. They made me the host, too, even as I'm not a big reader. I'm just happy there's now a place for all members that had been apprehensive about posting in Religion due to those other members only looking for a fight instead of a discussion.
