I feel like I’ve woken up in a parallel universe this last two weeks.

Allow me to reiterate; the strangeness started two weeks ago when I drove my roommate to the ferry dock so she could catch the boat to the other side of the water where she works. When I turned on my right turn signal it blinked really fast making me think that one of the lightbulbs was burnt out. When we got to the dock I walked around my little Toyoata pickup and found that somebody had stolen the entire rear light assembly! I got the truck back home and found most of the assembly laying on the ground, minus the lens and the gasket. I managed to put most of this back together using red and yellow plastic bags with some duct tape. About three days later someone stole the passenger side mirror. I cleaned out the garage and park the truck in there now. Three days ago somebody took the padlock off the locker I have at work, emptied all the contents (stealing the night shift's coffee which I keep in there) and removed my name off of it, replacing 'empty' on it (the locker). In the middle of all this (around the 25th) I have a dream where I am a Priestess of the Goddess wearing offical robes and a snake bangle on my left arm in a big crowd at what seems to be a Patti Smith concert. Strange, huh?

a supervisor of some sort at work? Because, it sounds like it could be a criminal act. Are you OK? Have you had any other incidents? Please let us know.

2. When I was in college

I roomed with my closest friend for our sophomore and junior years. She was a genuinely pleasant, happy person and wouldn't harm a fly. However, for the entirety of our sophomore year, she accidentally DESTROYED everything I owned. Figurines--smashed. Necklaces--snapped and the beads all over the place. Clothing--stained, ripped, etc. She was horrified that this kept happening and I, of course, was furious. Although we agreed to be roommates the following year, our friendship was compromised, and we almost never hung out together. Then she moved off campus for senior year and we stopped being even marginal friends.

Eventually (after I started my spiritual work in earnest) I realized that she was the vessel for a lesson I had to learn--that material things don't matter. But I never would have learned it if the teaching method hadn't been so severe. (As it was, I never figured it out till decades later. But that was just me being thick.)

Perhaps you're getting a reminder of something like that? You're a very spiritual person, Icymist, but have you been clinging to "things" lately? Are you carrying any fear about losing your "stuff"? Perhaps it's time to recommit to the spiritual instead of the material? Something to think about anyway.

Also, it's very interesting that not only was your locker cleared out, but the "empty" tag was put on it. Sure, it was most likely an oversight--the person tasked with clearing out a locker got the number wrong and cleaned out your stuff instead--but..."empty". Is that a message for you to empty yourself of ego and, again, recommit to the spiritual? Be empty?

Snake bangle--that's the earth goddess, perhaps the Minoan Snake Goddess or Wadjet of Lower Egypt. Snakes also represent wisdom and the bridging of two worlds (I know you know this--just thinking "out loud" ). A potent dream. Have you read Patti Smith's autobiography (Just Kids)? I was only a marginal fan before, but afterward I had SO much respect for her. Truly an amazing woman--fantastic writer and artist and musician, and so wise. You were likely among other wise women if you were at one of her concerts.

about the roommate who "accidentally DESTROYED everything"?

I was with family members last night at dinner who had a couple mishaps and they looked almost self-induced or bizarrely "accidental" to themselves?

I really think my roommate's chaos was to teach me that stuff was just "stuff" and friendships were more important. We lost touch over the years but I was grateful when she tracked me down and wrote me a letter (before al this intertubes stuff) and apologized profusely for everything. That gave me a chance to let her know that I didn't hold a grudge at all. Now we're Facebook friends.

What sort of incidents happened at dinner? Was it just general clumsiness? Sometimes that seems to be a result of a person's imbalanced energies. I know that happens with some family members of mine fairly often.

an example. restaurant, fam member cutting loaf of bread, knife they gave us was too small and dull ... awkward, but he ended up pushing bread onto the floor as he cut ... then tried to correct and his hand just flew some more bread off. It almost looked intentional but wasn't.

Imbalanced energies ...

This is a long married couple that seems to always have difficulty and complications come up in doign the simplest things ...

I'm going to let this sink in for a while and then I will answer you.
As for Patti Smith, I love her and have been a full fan since 1975! I guess I'm showing my age. But then, everyone should love patti! She broke the rules you know, and paved the way, at least in music!
