Cardinal Dolan Blames Bad Marketing for Church Seeming Antigay

http://www.advocate.com/politics/religion/2013/11/30/cardinal-dolan-blames-bad-marketing-catholic-church-seeming-antigay

The Catholic Church merely has an image problem on LGBT equality, according to Cardinal Timothy Dolan.

"Well, I think maybe we've been outmarketed sometimes," he said on Meet the Press, according to a preview of the Sunday interview reported by the Associated Press. "We've been caricatured as being antigay."

Could that have anything to do with all the gay-bashing that's gone on? IrishAyes Nov 2013 #1

Strange how perceptions get started.

While I'm at it, let me say one other thing; although I can no longer point directly toward the source statistics, gay men are considerably less likely to be pedophiles. That dubious distinction goes to straight males.

But stupid as well. The article quotes him as saying “Last time I consulted an atlas, it is clear we are living in New York, in the United States of America — not in China or North Korea,” he wrote at the time. “In those countries, government presumes daily to ‘redefine’ rights, relationships, values, and natural law. There, communiqués from the government can dictate the size of families, who lives and who dies, and what the very definition of ‘family’ and ‘marriage’ means.”

Tell me, Eminence, how is extending the right to marry infringing on anyone else's rights? Be specific.

No, the person who is making the Church "seem" anti-gay is YOU, and people like you who make anti-gay statements.
