Catholic Charities of Central Florida is opening a temporary office to provide financial assistance, counseling and other aid to survivors and family members of the Pulse nightclub shootings.

The office is located at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6200 S. Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Victims and family members are urged to call 386-341-3740 to request financial assistance. Bilingual case managers are available to assist.

"We know people will need help for a long time to come," said Gary Tester, Catholic Charities of Central Florida executive director. "A lot of families numbingly go through what they need to do to survive, and it's only later that the emotional toll kicks in."
