BVM Nun gives invocation during Presidential Visit

Sister Therese Jacobs of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM) recounts meeting the President and First Lady in Dubuque, Iowa on 8/15/12.

"As I prepared the prayer, I was very conscious of the desire to praise God for the gifts of Life, Freedom and Faith. I know that God's Spirit guided me and I felt at peaceful, humble and confident as I walked to the podium on August 15 just previous to the President and First Lady's arrival. I was privileged to shake the President's hand and asked God to bless him, and to Michelle I said, "We love you, Michelle and your family." Very clear eye contact and thank you from each of them. Indeed it was a privilege to be invited to give the invocation. –Therese Jacobs, BVM"
