(53,950 posts)It is much more common than many would try to convince us. I find it interesting how many have no reservations about telling Jews what anti-Semitism is and isn't. Oh, and don't dare mention anti-Semitism in a historical context, because...well...ISRAEL!
Comments like that are to determine the "good Jews" from the "bad Jews." Intra-group dynamics for our group are often mocked and scoffed at, unless it lends itself to something anti-Semitic or, in some cases, anti-Israel (or even the legitimate criticism of Israel). I find it so strange, but expected, to see comments, here, YouTube, news sites, etc., determine who is and isn't a "good/bad" Jew, but if a Jew says it, well, all Hell breaks loose. Jews are a real minority, not just in this country, but throughout the world, yet we are the only minority treated like a majority.

(47,470 posts)in digging stories about Israel and about Jews.
What is interesting that many stories originate in Israeli papers. I have yet to see a single Arab paper criticizing an Arab government. But, hey..

(53,661 posts)I actually read a post the other day that was swarming with anti-obama comments and one mentioned how many times Jews had attacked us. This stuff is patriot radio speak, they really get into this. The country has been dumbed down so severely that these folks think they found something new. All they found was the JBS for the new generation.

(3,051 posts)John Kerry is also a descendant of Mohammed, if that makes any difference.
(Seriously, it was Burke's Peerage that figured this out.)

(53,950 posts)As an FYI...I disagree with him regarding a staunch, no-exceptions-allowed pro-Israel U.S. foreign policy.
It was actually hidden. So, there is that.

(3,051 posts)If you read the same Burke Peerage article, it says Bush is also a descendant of Mohammed.
Pretty much all our oligarchs (either party) are all mixed royalty of some sort.

(53,661 posts)It did not define our beliefs or actions, just our opportunities, even though we were part of that system of defining rights.
If one accepts a bloodline determination of destiny as the Nazis and other regimes in history have done, it's BS.
The bloodline smear is being applied to Kerry's mind, as was the smear applied that his years in France made him disloyal to the USA.
That he could not be or think in a way his ancestors did, is irrational. And an attack on individual freedom of thought, which is what is the best thing we have going.

(53,950 posts)I am really tired of you playing the "Jewish" card as being oppressed. When you stop Bibi from allowing illegal settlements then I'll listen to your diatribe.
This was in response to a curt response from the Jewish poster who was responding to this poster's asking, a week after the situation in France, "how the murders in Paris became a Jewish Issue".
Funny, Muslims aren't to be blamed for the events in Paris (rightly so), but Jews, well, we are responsible for the actions of Israel!
