School pupils are falling victim to antisemitic abuse for supporting the work of a charity set up to educate people about the Holocaust.

In many cases, young people involved are not even Jewish but still find themselves on the receiving end of antisemitism on social media.

According to the Holocaust Educational Trust, a charity that aims to teach students about the genocide, the level of antisemitic sentiment in society is as high as it has ever been.

“We have just started training our regional ambassadors, and some of our young people have started getting things sent to them. These are people, who are not Jewish, but they are being attacked for supporting education about the Holocaust,” Karen Pollock, HET’s chief executive, told i.
