New York GOP Chapter Defends Anti-Semitic Campaign Ad Despite Deleting Video

Rockland County, about an hour north of New York City, has been the site of tensions for years between longtime locals and the quickly-growing Orthodox Jewish population, which are now estimated to comprise more than one-third of the population.

A campaign video posted by the Rockland County Republican Party warned that local county legislator Aron Wieder, who is Orthodox, was plotting a “takeover” of the area.

The video spliced shadowy footage of Wieder with headlines of news stories covering Jewish-Christian tensions. “What’s at stake: Our homes, our families, our schools, our communities, our water, our way of life,” graphics claimed.

1. Not surprising.

Most people, no matter the political side, give two shits about anti-Semitism. It is an easy commodity in which to trade. What I am seeing in NY is starting to give me the willies though. I am afraid something will happen there...soon. It has one the largest Jewish populations in the world, what better way to send a message to the Jewish people than to attack NY Jews in a significant way. Between the NY GOP outright stating the Jews are taking over, to the less obvious ways others are claiming it...you know, all the sneaky Jews behind the scenes who control the poor, misunderstood puppet of a pResident, something will eventually give.
