Thursday Evening 02-27-2014, 7:07 PM EST: Fireball Meteor over Mid Atlantic States

Last evening, here in my Western Pennsylvania hometown north of Pittsburgh, I was fortunate to catch a two-second glimpse of meteor which looked like a green flare moving south and downward.

Shorty after I observed the meteor, I submitted my online report to the American Meteor Society which has a page about it here: http://www.amsmeteors.org/fireball_event/2014/556 .

Here is a screen snip from the aforesaid page which shows the locations of the 212 observers who reported the meteor and the directions in which they indicated the meteor was traveling:

Also, CNN has a story at http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/28/us/east-coast-fireball/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
