families there to colonize it and bring their Libertarian/WarHawk/Neo-con politics to the place so they can practices it in a fresh new environment among themselves. A one way colonization would be fine with me. I hope they enjoy trying to live in a place with no water, no food and no air. I once lived in the Atacama desert, which scientists say is close to what Mars is like. Well, we did have air, as thin as it was at 11,000 feet altitude. Everything else was shipped in by rail and water by pipes from the snow melting on the Andes. Now I know there is probably some polar ice there, but how long is that going to last without be replenished by snow or rain fall?
