International Dark Sky Week 2015 runs from April 13-19. Here at EarthSky, we like to celebrate by sharing awesome photos by our friends. Here are a few to start off the week.

The aim of International Dark Sky Week is to inspire people to celebrate the beauty of the night sky, and also to raise awareness about the problems associated with light pollution and simple solutions available to mitigate it. Find out more here.

Share your dark sky photos with us on Facebook, G+ or upload them here. http://earthsky.org/image-submissions
