Since the moon always has the same area facing the Earth, the Earth would never move from its spot in the moon sky. This was taken by a satellite, giving the impression of an Earth rising (or setting).

But wouldn't it be cool to be on the moon for a year and get to study the Earth. You could see the cities (I assume) on the dark side, and could watch hurricanes form and migrate across the ocean.

...on certain parts of the moon...edges as seen by us, the earth would rise and set.
But I'm nit picking.
