Roadable airplanes will be displayed as flying cars at the upcoming New York Auto Show: The Flying Cars Are Coming ... To the New York Auto Show - Autopia/Wired.com.

Terrafugia will be displaying their Transition, which should go on sale in 2013 with a pricetag of $279,000. Classified as a Light Sport Aircraft, you can get a license to fly it after 20 hours of training:
