Katharine, a 2,300-pound white shark that often surfaces along Florida's east coast, has traveled nearly 37,000 miles from the north Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico.
In the five and a half years since OCEARCH, a shark research and advocacy team, has been tracking Katharine, she's gained quite a following on the Treasure and Space coasts.
Katharine has her own Twitter account with 58,700 followers by comparison, TCPalm has 50,200 followers and articles written about her escapades are some of the most-read stories on TCPalm.com.
