History lesson
I can't wait to see it. Being an old telephone man and dealing with DC powered telephone offices (48v) with batteries the size of refrigerators supplying thousands of amps to huge telephone switches and now placing a 9Kw system of solar panels(29) on my roof, the difference between Edison and Tesla is astounding.

OP
Tesla was a brilliant engineer who held some truly antiscientific, even mystical, views.

He never accepted modern physical theories of light, to give only one example. Without modern EM and quantum theory, he was left behind by scientific progress.
As for Edison ... he introduced the electric chair in an effort to "prove" Tesla's AC was dangerous, and his DC supposedly was safer. The first attempted execution by electricity was horribly botched, and his employees had experimented on many animals to try to get it right. Not most people's idea of a nice guy.

(58,604 posts)2. It's a not very well known period in science history...
My only fear is that Hollywood will over sensationalize it.
That being said, much of our modern society is based on the outcome of that rivalry.
