About the retrovirus inserting itself into DNA … did you post this to point this out ?

Interesting that all the nonvaxxers freaking out about the vaccines altering DNA, which it can’t, but the virus possibly could ?

[Googles frantically] Well, it seems to be a bit more complicated that what I thought.

Some viruses, including retroviruses, do insert their genetic material into the host’s DNA as part of their reproduction. Outside these classes of virus (that don’t include SARS) such an insertion is very rare but not impossible.

SARS-CoV-2 hasn’t been shown to insert into our DNA, so far, anyway.
