(36,827 posts)I have never told either one of my kids what to believe or even if they should believe at all. That's for them to decide. My son's religious journey took him from Christianity, to Judaism, to Islam, and finally to atheism.
My father was an ordained Unitarian minister who never once told me what I should believe. When asked all he would ever say was that was something I was going to have to figure out on my own. It's amazing what happens when you throw off the yoke of religion and let people decide for themselves instead of brainwashing them from the moment of sentience.

As I just got here in the last couple of days I am 'surfing-around' to various forums and groups. This one is certainly noteworthy and insightful.
