Ha! "Mean people need Jesus" - Carrie Underwood

Cross-posted from The DU Lounge.

Carrie Underwood took a shellacking from the critics, about her (non) acting in "The Sound of Music."

Underwood responds - "they need moar Jesus." Along with quoting a few Babble verses, of course.

Full Disclosure: I have always completely hated all versions of "Sound of Music." It almost convinced me that the Nazis had at least one good idea.

I love the movie and didn't want to see a revision. I would not have liked it, even if it was good.

This was the stage production. Which predates the film by about 6 years.

I thought WTF does a critic not liking a performance have to do with Jesus. Some people just have to interject religion into everything. And obviously, Carrie Underwood is one of those people. Although I never liked her, I dislike her more now.
