Kristine McGuire mixed Christianity with the occult and it led her down a spooky path. Now a Christian, she is warning others about the dangers of the occult.

1. Yeah, this happens all the time....

First there's an everyday mild mannered ghost, then some stupid ghost hunter comes along and gets personal, then the ghost turns into a demon from hell or Poughkeepsie... then the ghost hunter gets all in a twist and makes a call to Jesus, then the garden gnomes get involved... yeah, I hate it when that happens.

4. OK, call me crazy. I am an atheist,

but for a few years a long time ago, I was into witchcraft. I appeared on the Sally Jessie Show along with 2 other witches and a warlock on Channel 4 in Miami, and was in photo spread in the Sunday magazine section of the Miami Herald.

I had a lot of freaky and strange experiences, so I dropped witchcraft because it was too dangerous. I do not believe in god or the devil, but I do believe there are dark and negative forces.

6. You aren't crazy.

For all that I joke about crazy in my other post. If you get yourself worked up into thinking something is going to happen, it's really easy to make yourself think it's happening. "Haunted" places can be scary even for people that don't believe in ghosts whatsoever if they can suspend their disbelief long enough to let the combination of atmosphere and expectation get the better of them.

8. You are right about getting worked up

and beginning to believe something is happening. I remember when I was a teen, we went looking for a ghost that carries a lantern at a "haunted" spot. As we were waiting for something to happen, we noticed a light in the distance and it was moving toward us. Closer and closer it came. Woooooooo. Then I realized that it was just a distant streetlight, and the longer we stared at it, the more it appeared to come closer and get bigger. When I spoke up and said this, everyone was so bummed out....and one of the people who believed in ghosts and often was out looking for them explained to us all that we might as well give up, since I was such a "strong force" that I would keep any ghosts from approaching. Now if that isn't one of the best explanations for why only the gullible see ghosts, I don't know what is.

9. I was amazed in the video where the "evp" happened.

When she calls it "What could only be described as a scream," my face hit my palm.

I find it odd that demons would not only scream, but do so just loud enough that only a microphone could pick it up.

While, admittedly, I don't know what caused the sound, it's amazing how they are so completely sure. It's convincing that her boyfriend doesn't think it's a hoax, either...

10. I really is easy to get caught up in it,

especially when you are looking for something---and that means you obviously believe you might find something.

What the sound is might be a mystery, but so was the noises that were occurring at my house the other night. It was really freaky and I was a bit rattled. I could have allowed my mind to go in all kinds of directions because I had no explanation. That doesn't mean that there was no explanation. I heard what it was on the news the next day. I had never heard of "ice quakes", but that is what was happening. Unexplained noises. Bumps and bangs in the night.

Then crazy person believes a different crazy thing, now watch as the comment section fills with crazy.

The comments there would be hilarious, if I didn't suspect half those people would exorcise their children for getting a B on a report card.

7. I actually got this from a Post on Facebook.

The person who posted it was very sincere about it and said she spoke to her daughters about the importance of choices. I thought it made a statement about the importance of choices, but an entirely different one than I expect she did.
