Quick.... before we get any other posts about (are you ready?) "materialism, or at least of the ontological Dawkinsian type is in itself, a form of woo."

"Ontological Dawkinsian", whatever the hell that actually is, seems to be a dig at the big bad atheist..... ignoring that Dawkins is 1st and foremost an excellent scientist, not some crazy radial atheist zealot preaching "materialism".

1. The woo wars are depressing

I would expect liberals to be first and foremost against woo and in favor of science..

However, inevitably my bubble is popped by these deluded idio....I mean these supersticious moro....errr, these pro-woo progressives.

2. It's a logical fallacy, projection among others.

The woo in this case is purely owned by those who have to strain to such lengths fictionalizing reality to combat facts that undermine their beliefs. Then there's the ad hominem portrayal of Dawkins which shows they must be reaching the end of their argument and have no where else to go.

This woo is the sole possession of the wooee or wooer?

And on another note, it is sad we have to feel guarded, giving up our right to free speech in our protected area because zealots police out of self righteousness. My wife and her mother lived under the Stazi. They recognize the signs of state control over citizens activities for the preservation of state dogma.

4. There is a constant need in certain groups

to constantly relabel everything. Evolution is now macro evolution, Science is now material science, or mechanical science. Dr. Richard Dawkins is now Antichrist-bigot-homophobe-islamaphobe-material scientist Dawkins.

Just on and on with the relabeling to make their point seem stronger, it's not like I need strawman on my logical fallacy bingo card (and false equivalence is the free square)
