My family and I went to church today!

At least we went to our church. Every Sunday we go to a public pool to hang out in the sun and enjoy beautiful sky and the cool water... and we have practically the whole place to ourselves... that is until about 1PM when everyone gets out of mythical church, then the place gets crowded. So from 10 to 1 we enjoy real church... sun, sky, water and body worship.

That's my kind of church!

A church that hikes together... ..... .. hikes together! Couldn't think of a good comeback.

Big ancient trees beat even the fanciest cathedral, in my book.

The Pacific NW is my home. I grew up tracking through trees on the coast and in the Mt. Hood National Forest and the Columbia Gorge... that are no longer there. The Oregon forests of the 60's and early 70's were a sight to behold. Sometimes I feel like I am praying for their souls... or they are praying for mine.

Everyday, not just on Sundays.

If humankind could see the sacredness of the ground we walk upon, things would be very different... probably.

If by "going to church" you mean heading out bar-hopping for ladies' night after an evening at the track. Then the bar owners got together and changed ladies' night to Thursday and I couldn't go anymore cuz the only TRUE ladies' night is Wednesday.
