Christian Bale calls Moses "barbaric" and "schizophrenic"

Based on his research into the character of Moses for that new movie.

At least Bale admits that, before he played Moses, his knowledge of the subject was "below Sunday School" level.

He also hints that the same attributes, "barbaric and schizophrenic," might apply to Moses' boss - that Gawd fella:

Its been said before but the most effective way to deconvert someone is to get them to actually read their holy book.

whatever percentage of our fellow citizens take the bible literally.

I forget the number but remember being shocked

I don't remember whether the poll I have in mind included functionally illiterate respondents, which could skew the number a bit, I suppose.

There is reality ...

There is not one single shred of empirical evidence of a 'real' Moses ... More than likely, a nationalistic legend that cements a hero into the fabric of an establishment narrative ... written more than a thousand years after the 'fact' ...
