Church Of Bacon Gathers 12,000 Members After Offering Free Weddings, Funerals And Baptism

An atheist Church founded in Las Vegas is named after the most worshipped breakfast meat - bacon.

Mirror UK reports the United Church of Bacon is offering free weddings, funerals and baptisms to church members who listen to the word of "bacon god".

"Officiants in the United Church of Bacon can perform legal weddings for those who don't want God in their ceremony," a statement in the website reads. "We'll bring creative suggestions to make your wedding even more magical. Or if you already have a plan, we will follow your lead."

Let me know if you need someone to perform a wedding. It is in our vows to not take any money.

you would be the one to do the deed. I would even serve bacon at the reception, since I love bacon...one could say that I almost worship it.

6. Is there a Church of Mac & Cheese?

See... I have 2 friends, a couple, Mack and Bill, whom we refer to lovingly as "Mack and Cheese". (Bill said "Great, I'm cheese." and I reminded him everyone loves cheese.) They want to get married at the end of the month at my beach house.

My friend, another Bill, and I are trying to figure out how to make a wedding "cake" out of Mac & Cheese (Bill makes a mean 3 or 4 different cheeses version...often with minced ham). I thought if it was baked... like you used to get at the school cafeteria... it would hold its shape. (and have those yummy crunchy, crisp edges). Like just mash the Mac & Cheese into 3 different sized round cake pans, bake them and then stack and decorate (with cherry tomatoes? something green? Watercress?)

Any suggestion are welcome, BTW.

We figured if it didn't work and hold its shape, we'd just dump it in a love-er-ly bowl, grate some more cheese on top and eat the damn stuff!

A modern church that smells really great.

The church encourages its members to follow the 9 Commandments: be skeptical; respect boundaries; normalise atheists; normalise religion; have fun; be good; be generous; praise bacon; and protest bias in the law.
