I took as a kind of snarky shot making fun of the RWs penchant for offering prayers instead of actually doing anything.

who fight and oppose the Fuckwad in Chief.

I pray for the ability to get through another day, and the health and safety of my family. I do this because there is little I can do otherwise. I rely upon the kindness of strangers, the cohesion of society, the will to live, and the butterfly effect.

People who say "I'll pray for you." are often just being nasty, and have zero intention of praying, and think story of jesus will cover for the remark. The folks who say "I'll pray for you." and aren't being mean,.. rarely do either. It's just something to say bc it's easy, and does nothing, and the person who says it can pat themselves on the back, and act like they have lived such an exemplary life, that should jesus be real, he'd grant their whispered wish.
I rely on humanity and my hands, but, I pray too just to cover the bases, but, not like I 'should'(?) I guess.
I hope the things you outlined did happen today, and tomorrow.

Which ones do you pray to? That's a conundrum. If you include Hinduism there are millions of them although it narrows down considerably if one only considers monotheistic deitys most of whom get really upset if you pray to any deity but them. I suppose one can pray to all of them in one big pile if you don't mind the possibility of ticking off the ones who are jealous. As for me, I don't pray to any of them... but I do read the National Geographic.

and I don't know how they decide. A deity is either a deity or it isn't. I'm only discussing it because we're in A&A group and as a philosophy nut I tend to ask a lot of stupid questions and make esoteric comments.
