My idol is being interviewed on BBC Radio 4!

Annette Karmiloff-Smith, 'retired' but still very active developmental psychologist, has been interviewed on Radio 4, by Jim Al-Khalili for the series 'The Life Scientific'. I practically worship the ground on which she walks in any case, and this is a fascinating interview. You may be able to get it on the BBC site. It was first broadcast at 9 a.m. today, and is now being repeated this evening.

From her colleague Jeff Elman: 'Annette is almost ruthless in her willingness to be proved wrong'! One of my favourite descriptions of good science.

The morning programme was followed by Martin Wainwright's 'One to One' interview, this time with Malcolm Bowden, the nutty creationist. Talk about going from the sublime to the ridiculous!
