Meaning the money wasted and the harm done. If the money had been used to apply the scientific method of inquiry to the various "cures," that would be useful.

Instead, what came out is bullshit.

medicine brigade. See the comments on healthcare by Mercola, Mike Adams, or many others.

There are some right-libertarians who think that Feds shouldn't be funding anything at all; and there are some who are genuinely pro-science, as in any group.

I don't think that the majority of progressives favour alt-med as a substitute for modern medicine. Those who do have this view tend to express themselves strongly about it.
