Not surprisingly, it is not as popular of a subject to bring up for the Chinese as the "Rape of Nanking".
Also not surprisingly, the Taiwanese still prefer the Japanese to the Chinese.
Few people really grasp that China occupied Taiwan just as Japan did. before the came the Taiwanese Aborigines were doing just fine.
