Interesting. Kago. I didn't know that. I started to put atode nichi, so I'm glad I popped that into Translator first. Or would atode nichi work too (because gods knows Google translate is darn near worthless sometimes!)?

後で日?
I've never heard of that expression before.

At any rate, Google Translate is pretty unreliable when translating Japanese, because it can be such a nebulous language.

I'm still pretty new to learning; I learn at a slow but steady pace though. Sooo, I knew 'after' and 'day' and just tried slamming them together for 'after-day' (but I figured that wasn't it because it almost never is, hence the note about putting it into translator first, where I learned 'kago' from). That's all I meant by that (non-existant) phrase. Yeah, it's notoriously unreliable. Trying to make sure I've got practices right from the textbooks I'm working through is an exercise in...frustration, at best (at times, of course). And trying to get it to recognize a negative is like pulling teeth from a megacrocodile!

At least I'm as good at making new (nonsensical) Japanese words as I am new (nonsensical) English ones, though, so I know I'll get there eventually.
