Portland than? Interesting, I know many moved down South to LA and to San Jose, as our state has the only three Nihonmachi in the USA, but it sure seems like a number of Japanese went north as well. There is also a Shinto Shrine there, brought over from Japan. The only other Shinto shrines outside of Japan, are in Hawaii. Cool beans!
