Bigger threat to Democracy? Citizens United or Corporate Controlled Media

that continuously pushes the corporate puppet while either ignoring or tearing down the candidate they do not own? Citizens United is just one piece of a corrupt system.

Why integrity counts - Politicians have been bought off for a lot more than campaign contributions.

People need access to information that isn't biased or censored in order to make rational decisions, however money is what motivates our elected officials to screw us. We need to overturn Citizens United and stop the revolving door or will continue getting screwed.

I'm torn because both are so damaging. I'm thinking corporate controlled media maybe more damaging to our collective psyche because it should be our 4th estate and inform the electorate.

We are considered consumers more than citizens. We are advertized to and marketed to and influenced by psychological operations to brainwash us. At least that is how it "feels" to me.

Consider the whole "WarOn" poverty, drugs, crime and terror. What is more abstract and nebulous than the fucking concept of "terror".

Why wasn't Timothy McVeigh a terrorist and that dude they caught haning out in Afghanistan is still in prison as the American Telaban? I still highly doubt he had a single thing to do with 9/11.

They won't call Whozit Root who kiledl the 9 POC in a chuch a terrorist because he was white. But the shooting in San Bernadino is considered domestic terrorism.

Blackwater is trained by special camps to murder, rape and kick in doors and terrorize citizens but they a called contractors not terrorists. It's how the media frames the references.

I hate the demonizationnof Islam and Muslims brought to us by Corporate Media.

Fox went to town and tried to demonize BLM as cop killers because they had the audacity to complain about unarmed young black men being arbitrarily gunned down by cops. Shut up and like it punks. Don't complain or you'll get some more. Hoodies make you a target.

I'm just about done. I didn't intend to go on tangental rant and I'm getting to the point finally. I think those assholes in the bird refuge are fucking Armed and Dangerous Domestic Terrorists and having them called anything else chaps my hide. I'm sick of seeing those whiney ass babies be coddled and left with the lights on so they can snoop through every employee's personnel file. That seems more heinous than a broken window.

That money equals free speech is a distortion of what being able to speak out verbally means The idea of corporate personhood is a radical perversion, too.

I can't stand the Supreme Court being packed with rightwing religious fanatics instead of intellectual law scolars. The separation of church and state ought to be more important.

I am curious why Ruth Bader Ginsberg wouldn't step down so Obama, could replace her with someone of the same caliber? Why chance it with a Bush or Trump appointment?

corporate media machine.

So the corporate media will make less ad revenues. Big deal. They will still reap the benefits of a government that works on their behalf.
