is any surprise around the corner.

I think his opponents would simply call him a Socialist, bring out the lies about how hard it is to see a Dr. in Canada, etc.

Wasn't true, he was running a surplus. The Republican won.

They will be more than happy to lie and dump their raw sewage on Bernie.

That is not to say it will work, didn't work against Obama

He was elected mayor several times starting in 1981. Then House of Representatives several times and then the Senate twice.
Is Chuck so naive as to expect no one vetted Bernie during all those campaigns? I think he should keep a little perspective on the vetting.

The national media has had a lot of opportunity to vet Bernie but to date, took a pass. They've barely covered him.

So the media haven't done their job during this election. What a revelation by Chuck!

Poor Tim Russert gets replaced by the already fired David Gregory and then this little league mental midget. The bigger error when it comes to vetting is someone forgot to vet them properly!

7. There's a very narrow meaning applied to the word "vetted" in

this context. I see it all the time when the Hillary people say she's been vetted, implying she's now bullet-proof to any attacks on her.

Vetted just means checked out. Bernie has probably been vetted nearly as much as Hillary, the difference being she's been front and center a whole lot longer than he has. Plus, she has some genuine crap in her background, and if anyone thinks that the Republicans won't bring up all of that just because it's been brought up before, then they are really confused.

Her Iraq war vote won't go away. Nor will her support of DOMA. Nor her very late embracing of LGBT rights. Nor her willingness to bomb women and children as Secretary of State, her willingness to deport children seeking asylum here. And so on.
