They hope. Why say this if something isn't coming that's bad? But then, I don't understand them at all.

It's important that we understand.

(5,815 posts)As a Democratic President and his Democratic justice department are out to get her!
Is there ever a time when Hillary Clinton is not a victim of something or other?
I don't want a victim as president.

(13,877 posts)Yes, the ever-present Liberal Conspiracy. Let me correct the record...it's no conspiracy, we just don't want you in the White House. See?
One more time for emphasis. It's a Choice...not a Conspiracy.

(5,815 posts)And it's quite a tightrope to walk. She is simultaneously a strong, resolute leader who will crush our enemies, but also a picked upon victim because she's just a girl, and those mean sexist men are out to get her. She's playing to the Lifetime audience there, and what's sort of hilarious is how many women aren't buying it. In fact, many of them seem to find it highly offensive.
It's like Clinton's notion of feminism got stuck somewhere in the 1990s. She doesn't seem to understand that running around as a victim is not seen as a great incarnation of modern day girl power.
She is, dare I say, a feminist anachronism, figuring the same old shit will work that has always worked in the past.
Newp. And someone really should clue her in. Every time she draws from that well, you can see everyone cringing in real time. Like her awesomely eye-rolling debate declaration, "Of course I'm an outsider! I'm a woman!" Oh god, such criiiinnnnge.
And what's weird is, I really never see it this often or at such volume from other female politicians. They just get in there and fight. They don't lazily fall back and depend upon this the way she does.
