Senator Shaheen:Benghazi should not be used as part of a political pep rally to fire up a crowd

or for anything political (so this applies to ALL political parties).

It is VERY disrespectful and insensitive to the family members of those lost. Imagine if you were one of the family members and you heard this. Rhetoric can get heated but some things should be out of bounds - even in the world of politics.
______________________

Senator Jeanne Shaheen took a peculiar swipe at Hillary Clinton‘s rivals at a Clinton campaign rally earlier today. And it involves Benghazi.

Shaheen fired up the crowd as she talked about how well Clinton did at the 11-hour Benghazi hearing a few months ago. She asked, “Is there anybody here who thinks that anybody else in this race, Republican or Democrat, could have done what Hillary did?”

The audience shouted, “NO!”

Shaheen cried, “Not Donald Trump… not Ted Cruz… and not Bernie Sanders!”

Sanders has avoided talking about Benghazi on the campaign trail, though back in November he started saying there are valid questions about Clinton’s emails.

I mean, this is a pretty f-ing lame argument for Clinton. Oh, she had to endure months of grilling as the GOP spent millions of OUR tax dollars on these hearings. This makes her great? Presidential material?

I think not.

Unfortunately, she's on the wrong side of most of the issues this time around, because rank and file Dems have awakened and said, 'fuck this! We're tired of getting screwed over by Third Way people. We want a populist!'

Because, hey Third Way, it's not 2005 when you did that survey and most Dems that responded supposedly wanted to move to the right. But it didn't work, did it? All Third Way, Wasserman-Schultz, the Clintons, Shaheen and other Third Way types, like that Empty Suit Michael Bennet from Colorado, have done is fuck us over because they 'go along to get along,' and vote like they are scared to lose the next election instead of like they are trying to choose the best course for US.

That's fucked, you know? That's why I'll continue to be a fervent supporter of Bernie, who is showing every sign he's gonna win this thing.

I seem to recall Bernie being smeared from here to eternity about how he has a 'race problem.' Isn't that a Rovian attack of one of Bernie's strengths? I mean, if you're gonna accuse the 'bernistas' of going Rove, that's kinda like someone in a glass house throwing a rock through someone else's window, isn't it? Not you personally, but plenty of Clinton surrogates.

It's because there were hearings at all. Because there are always hearings with the Clintons. Since day fucking one. They do this shit themselves and you think they look presidential? I'd love to see the total billions of dollars the Clinton's own actions have cost us in investigations. Skirting the law. Lies, deflections, what "is" is, sniper fire...so sick of this shit.

A) In the GE this would be totally appropriate,

B) The e-mail issue is still not resolved (see FBI investigation)

C)To bring Bernie up into this issue is utterly ridiculous as well
as badly advised.

Shaheen should be aware by using this against Bernie, that her next
election may just depend on his supporters.

Some people are just not thinking very clearly right now.

How is this any less unethical than when the Republicans do the same thing?

It's one thing to be proud of how Hillary handled herself and quite another to use the tragedy to whip up support on the campaign trail.
