Those Millennials? Not only will they vote, they've made

themselves into a veritable army of volunteers

Every few days, I check out the subreddit Bernie for President. I've been impressed, not just about the enthusiasm and level of discourse, but the structure set up by the 24 year old kid who runs it. They've raised over 800 grand. Sanders announced on reddit and did a AMA; staffers do AMA's not infrequently.

I was just checking it out and I thought I'd post a couple of links:

https://www.reddit.com/r/SandersForPresident/comments/42g7ih/assembling_an_army_of_berners_to_reinforce/

https://www.reddit.com/r/SandersForPresident/comments/42lzld/make_no_mistake_bernie_is_not_winningfight_like/

And this reflects a lot of reddit Bernie supporters:

Even if bernie loses the primary, he should campaign for progressive democrats/greens/dem socialists all across the country. We need to parlay this primary season into a real liberal grassroots movement to take the democratic party back from the third way pro corporate democrats (i.n.o.)

Anyway, I highly recommend checking it out

This the non-violent revolution that Democracy PROMISES us, and our job as their parents and grandparents is to facilitate, NOT HINDER, their acceptance of the responsibility that they're the ones that will save the world.

Millennials to say they won't vote. Are too frivolous to show up.

They don't care about college debt?
Or global warming?
Or BLM?
Or LGBT rights?
Or equal pay for women?

They care about the future as much as Boomers.

Millennials weren't born or were very young when the Clintons were in charge so all they really know is the two candidates right now. And in comparing them as they appear side by side right now—it's clear that Bernie is the more trustable one.

Having a woman as President isn't enough for them. They have a lot of years left to vote and they know it will happen in their lifetime. A lot of older boomers want it to happen now so they can see it take place. I can't blame them but there's too much at stake to vote for a Wall Street cheerleader just because she happens to be a woman.

It is so amazing to witness on this site the Hope vs Nope campaigns.

Millennials are certainly not thinking things through or even bothering to investigate, all they see is the word FREE! Run for the hills people, they are showing up to take over from what we did when we were their age! I think I remember hearing the very same things when we were trying to move the country to a more equal and peaceful place.

At 62 I thought I would have become like those we fought against then, isn't that how it is supposed to happen? That is my NOPE.

As a country we have HOPE and that is the true motivator to be a better, more equal nation.

born after WWII back in the '40's and I'm here to agree with you that I am just as liberal now as I was back then. I am not underestimating the millennials. I saw my first Bernie bumper sticker in my area and a youngish guy got out of the car. I was thrilled to see that.

A lot of people my age have given up on politics and are focusing on their last decades/years of life. I used to live and breathe the news, but not so much any more. This is true of many of my neighbors and friends who are my age. They'll still vote (maybe) but don't have the passion they used to. That's normal. So, it really is up to younger people to take control of the process and steer the country in the direction they want it to go for the rest of their lifetimes. They have so much more time left than my generation does.

I hope they come out in droves and vote progressively.

To see them get involved and excited after so much disinterest. Hell, I have not been really engaged for a very long time. Issues yes, but elections? I am a bit tired of writing in, "someone who will use peace as an organizing principle" but there it is. I believe in this campaign. I truly believe in it.

It is amazing to finally see a group of young people really become involved. I love Occupy, BLM and this campaign. I am so excited to be the old person in the group. It is refreshing to hear them and listen to them hash through ideas. A group of them organized a fund raiser to purchase a billboard for Bernie. They have just gotten the money needed and are now finalizing the way it will look. It makes me really happy.
