(85,986 posts)...and the president will *try* and make some time for him.
The White House said the meeting with Sanders had been in the works since Sanders asked Obama for some face time when he saw him a month ago at a holiday party for lawmakers.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said he was unaware of any request from O'Malley to meet with Obama but that Obama would try to make time for him, if asked.

Sen. Sanders has also voted with his Democratic colleagues over 98% of the time.
In effect, he shares a decades-long membership in the most reviled political institution in the country with his front-running rival.
Ha, Ha.

(30,481 posts)He would do it in a manner that would leave Obama questioning himself. He would do it with depth, ideas, and swift, pointed, and respectful jabs that hit home. I really think he is Obama's kind of person. I imagine they would be great together.

Certainly you don't mean that Washington, D.C. establishment; part and parcel, for decades, of that political institution which is the most reviled in the nation?
