The Big Fat Lie.

Bernie hasn't promised to pass single payer. He has said over and over that we need to reform our political system before we can do practically anything else. He says this in virtually every speech.

But it's all the rage among Hillary supporters, Hillary surrogates and most pundits to lie and claim that Bernie is making extravagant promises.

The party establishment is addicted to corporate money. Bernie's movement threatens the way things are. Bernie is a U.S. Senator, but he isn't part of the democratic establishment club. These folks don't want big changes.

And Bernie supporters know what Bernie has said. We trust him to:

Fight for the things he's always fought for, to not propose or go along with any "grand bargains".

to not take a hawkish stance on military involvement

to use the bully pulpit

To Not appoint people like Rubin.

To have a balanced trade policy.

They are completely unaware that the single-payer battle has been fought for 80 years (so far).

Instead, to them it's new. And the idea of multi-generational efforts are utterly foreign to the 24-hour news cycle, where everything must be resolved in a week or less.

... like signing the fast track bill and subsequently the TPP, which Obama is BREAKING with progressives in his own party to work with Republicans to do this.

There are so many things that Bernie can promise he wouldn't do that corporatist candidates likely WOULD do like sell out social security, etc. with a Republican congress. There's a lot more his DOJ working more constructively, executive orders, signing statements, etc. can do than people realize I think as well.

By being the guy fighting for the people's interests and not what corporate America is trying to buy a candidate to do, he's working for all of us even if initially he doesn't have congress to pass a lot of legislation that we want passed just yet. When the people see the Republicans blocking him trying to advocate decent legislation being put through, and him blocking CRAP being passed in congress, that will be more apt to lead us to better wins in the midterms in 2018.

Sanders has said, Obama did not utilize the voters waiting to aid him
to take on the elite in 2008. Then came the realization of who Obama
included in his administration.

The rest is history with a year to go and why Sanders is running, clearly
to BEGIN the grueling and long overdue fight to ensure we have a functioning
democracy. Is it ideal to attempt it from the top down? No, yet we
know and Sanders has made clear, he can't do it alone.

I believe Americans, more than enough of us, are ready and willing to
make the commitment and you know what? Sadly, we have not had a
presidential leader asking for this participation in recent times, so no
one can say with certainty that we'll fail.

It is not about "free stuff" and never was, and when I hear people
call Sanders unrealistic..they are people who either lie and or are
so cynical to imagine that democracy is not worth fighting for.

The enablers of the elite seem to me to be very worried about the
disturbance, that disturbance is named, Bernie Sanders.
