Nominating Bernie Sanders is high risk/high reward

If Bernie wins the GE, it means the US takes a very conscious turn to the left. The success of a Sanders presidency would be vital because if things go bad, no one like him will be elected again possibly ever. He would need a Senate majority at minimum to get a few things done. On the high side, he could bring in a house majority in 2018.

If Bernie loses the GE big (or possibly even small) Democrats will run, not walk to the right. Sanders will be an aberration and Democrats will never nominate someone like him again.

So if Sanders is the nominee, it is in our best interests that he wins AND has a successful presidency.

If he is elected many minds will have already been changed.

I am so hoping the truth wins this time.
