Related: About this forumBernie Sanders Trumpets Iowa Paper’s Praise. Unsaid? It Endorsed Hillary Clinton
The Des Moines Register has not endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders, but a new ad from his campaign that started running on Thursday in Iowa may lead viewers to think that it did.
The ad trumpets the endorsements Mr. Sanders has received: From postal workers to nurses, hes been endorsed for real change, a female narrator says.
Endorsed by Friends of the Earth Action, a caption declares, using the groups logo. Same for The Nation magazine: You can trust Sanders because he doesnt owe his political career to the financial overloards, the magazine is quoted as declaring.
But sandwiched between The Nations endorsement and one from the The Daily Nonpareil, the local newspaper in Council Bluffs, Iowa, is a quotation from the states largest newspaper. The Des Moines Register calls him a man of courage and principle, the narrator says.
That praise did not come in an endorsement of Mr. Sanders, however. It came in The Registers editorial endorsing Mr. Sanderss rival, Hillary Clinton.

Another underhanded dirty trick from the Bernie Sander's campaign. This continues Bernie's campaign of dishonest tactics from using AARP and LCV logos without permission to pretending to be union members to enter Culinary 226 dining halls. What more dirty tricks will we see from the campaign? It seems like the data breach and stealing Clinton's voter file was a start of something biger.

OP
Trickery...it's what Bernie does. He implies all sorts of endorsements that simply don't exist

and this is what he has come down to. Tricking the constituency, and tricking the culinary workers and tricking the Establishment (AARP for example) out of their brands to trick people.

He accurately quoted the paper. And I guarantee you that Iowa Caucus goers know that the paper endorsed Hillary.
