We've reached the point of high farce

It's been clear for some time that the Clinton Campaign and allies decided to attack Sanders on his strengths; one of the most well known, his integrity has been a chief target.

We may have reached the nadir with the thoroughly ridiculous piece in today's NYT, which repeats breathlessly that Bernie had the audacity to quote praise for him that was included in an endorsement of Hillary. Was he supposed to footnote that? It is patently.absurd, to suggest as the NYT did that any Iowa Caucus goer will believe that he was trying to pass that off as an endorsement. It's bullshit hypercriticism and it's what the MSM is trying to spoonfeed the public.

Yesterday, the darling Grey Grande Dame, ran a misleading story about Bernie and outside money. In true Clintonian parsing, that story depended on the meaning of the word 'outsiide'.

The next 4 days we'll see a gleeful pile on. Will the last 10 days to two weeks of howl awful Bernie is, how stupid and unrealistic he is, work? Maybe, but this won't help democrats in November.

risk a little grass roots for Bernie talk - and she is EXTREMELY enthusiastic, and already plans on voting for Bernie in the primary. Here in Florida. She is so put off by the tactics of the Hillary campaign that she actually said that maybe we should all go independent, if Hillary gets the nomination. Because she feels the Democratic Party has left her. I think she is in her 50's.

This morning my husband and I were talking about all this stuff being thrown out yesterday and continuing today and it's just so apparent that the Clinton campaign needs to chip away at Sanders' biggest strength. His integrity. But most voters have had more than 20 years to understand how the Clinton's operate and have formed their opinions on Hillary's lack of it. On the flip side voters have also been able to learn who Bernie Sanders is and what he has consistently stood for. And integrity is way at the top. It's a losing battle for the Clinton campaign - when they have to resort to silliness like Buttongate and Logogate and now Quotegate . . .

you are right - it's reached the level of a Feydeau farce!

We are down to the wire. Iowans are busying themselves with doing their due diligence. They're attending rallies and making their final decisions. They want to make good decisions. They don't want to hear bullshit. Caucus goers are the most politically active and engaged members of the Iowa Democratic party. About 30 percent of Iowa Democrats will caucus, and they take the time to participate in the process because they are active and involved.

These people know bullshit. And they know that last-minute attacks are acts of desperation.

So...this nonsense may be flying around, but don't worry about it affecting Iowa.

If anything, it's a turnoff. If any candidate goes too far with baseless, flailing attacks--it will backfire.

I canvassed today and yesterday. We were all trained to be very positive and to say nothing negative (not that we ever would)--because of these well-known dynamics.
