A cousin who was in a love fest with The Donald until he started with the racist idiocy. Dear cuz has been searching Republican alternatives for a new horse without much successs.

Then the Democratic Town Hall. Cuz says he watched just for laughs. But when he listened to Bernie's answer for why he's running for President it reached through the TeeVee and hit a nerve for my Cuz.

Cuz paraphrased it to me this way in his email.

Bernie said he decided to run for President because he wants the American people to understand they have to stand up every day to their congress people and Senators.

That the only way our reps will start caring more about us than whoever is slipping millions in their pocket is if we collectively make their lives so miserable with holding their feet to the fire that they finally do the right thing to shut us up. We have to show up at the office, blast them with emails. Call so much we stress the phone banks etc.

I get the feeling Bernie's goal is to inspire us to be pissed off to actually do it whether he wins the presidency or not. Even if he were to lose the Democratic Primary I think if he can make us mad, and keep us being mad long enough to get some changes made, then he'll die happy someday.

Bernie is really an anti-establishment candidate we need without being a billionaire schmuck who thinks he can buy everyone.
