Name a few things that you think the Obama White house could do to make Americans more secure.?? I say "a few" because id like you to think about the details..

(32 posts)I think the Obama Administration would do well to call a meeting with all of the former still living presidents and all the members of congress and have a televised session that lasts for 40 days. To address the issues and allow the American People to see just who is really for the people and who is not.

(32 posts)One of the first Issues I think matters would be the restructuring of the constitution in a more interpretive way to include all people and make everyone truly equal. To provide for the life liberty and the pursuit of happiness and clearly define those certain inaliable rights that the declaration of independence speaks of. And to make a clear path for the redress of grievances that get timely results and give the power of abolishment back to the people.

(9,854 posts)This is a really great place to become educated, share ideas, laugh til you pee in your pants and argue til you are blue in the face. Every message board community has a sort of ebb and flow which distinguishes it from others. One of the things I have noticed about the DU is that most of the time posters don't respond to their own posts. They usually say what they have to say all up in the OP and then wait for OTHER people to respond to them.
Also, there are people here who are sticklers for things like putting posts on the right forums, etc. I think some of your posts might work better in General Discussion. And you might do better if instead of big, broad, sweeping ideological posts, you found specific, real life examples of the concepts you would like to discuss and allowed people to react to them. Like with this post...are you thinking that the current debate over gay marriage illustrates your point that the Constitution doesn't include all equality for all people to pursue life, liberty and happiness?
