SANTORUM APPEARANCE IN TACOMA TURNS INTO A CIRCUS!!!!
Presidential candidate Rick Santorum came to Tacoma, Washington last night for a campaign appearance on the same day that the Marriage Equality Bill was signed by the Governor in the State Capitol. His appearance was at a very ill advised venue. On a cool, damp, drizzly evening his staff chose to feature him at the Washington State Historical Museum just a mere 1,500 ft from the fierce activist encampment of Occupy Tacoma. To make matters worse, the setting is juxtaposed between railroad tracks to the east and a busy street on the west which activists used to encourage motorists to honk their horns and make noise. Adding to the Santorum appearance misery is that the audience was seated below him a bowl amplitheater setting surrounded by a partially bricked wall ediface. The outdoor scene was described by many as eerily "Numbergesque"
With all these geopgraphical attributes, once the activists started yelling and "mic checking" folks seated there couldn't hear either the candidate or the activists. The activists managed to make him pause for a full two two minutes at one point before he even tried to speak again. Santorum spent a huge portion of his 45 minute diatribe railing against the activists opposing him that were present. There were three arrests that took place, several scuffles and two that were tazed by Tacoma police.
The anti-Santorum forces managed to grab the first lead headline of the news last night on the Fox affiliate channel. The opening of the news cast dealt with the protesters and not the Santorum message.

TACOMA -- It was fight night for Rick Santorum in the City of Destiny.
The former Pennsylvania senator was cheered by the largest public outdoor rally in Western Washington that a Republican White House hopeful has seen in years. But Santorum fought to make himself heard over chants from protesters.
The candidate tried to link together President Obama and the demonstrators, declaring: "They're fundamentally trying to remake our country into a country that our Founders wouldn't recognize."
The Santorum rally, at the Washington State History Museum, was the state's the most raucous political event since conservative talk radio activists provided a loud bump in the 1994 Hillary Clinton health care caravan.
