Massachusetts Thoughts at the Work Desk

I remember a real theme that went around that NH was Bernie was a favored son and that there was a homecourt advantage in NH.

Yes, Bernie won. But person after person from the area tried to let you all know how different the two states are. Massachusetts is no different.

Massachusetts is not NH, it's not RI, it's not Vermont. It is a vastly different state with it's own unique identity. As someone who grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Rhode Island, we share virtually nothing in common socially.

Much will be made here tonight if Bernie loses in Mass. I think he will in fact fall just short there. And the "backyard" argument will come back. And how do you lose in your backyard?

Perhaps people forget that Sec. Clinton was a Senator from NY and still lives there. This state borders Massachusetts. She also went to college in Massachusetts. And this is the 4th campaign the Clinton family has waged in Mass. If Bernie somehow wins Mass, will we hear that she lost in her backyard? Probably not.

Good luck to all today. 7 States to 4 is my call for today (No clue what Samoa will do). Just some midday ramblings to generate chatter.

Note: I said I (A Sanders supporter) believe he will lose Mass. So the first ten comments can be spared the "making excuses already" argument. This info does not make excuses, but brings up info that was used against the candidates before.

I am from Wareham, at the entrance of the Cape. Which has nothing in common with Boston, Worcester, Springfield, Amherst, Pittsfield, etc. Almost none of those have similar characteristics

different North to South. We lived on the North Shore (Rockport, Salem, Maidenhead) a long, long time ago ('70's).
We vacated when it came to light that our families had not lived there for 350 years or more.

Bernie should have gotten those votes if they wanted to vote against Hillary. I can't believe that. I am mad for Bernie and I don't think it's fair at all.

You are right and posted similarly in the Bernie group. The Anti-Hillary vote is in good sized numbers crossing over and voting R. Which is mindboggling to me in true Blue state. But this is what I've heard from multiple people both on and off-air
