An Ode to Super Tuesday

I think your candidate this hour
is okay, but only second best.
After years and years in power
she and we all need a rest.
But if the tide should turn
(or surge as it's done of late)
I still will gladly let her earn
the title "My chosen candidate."

For the news this month is all concern
that the nation could become a dump,
so if America won't Bern
with hope, still... we must stop Trump.
So country first and party next
and above all else remember
The stakes are high as we select
our hero for November.

My horn I'll blow, my drum I'll beat,
my vuvuzela will I blaaaaat.
I'll GOTV. I'll blog. I'll tweet.
But after this race, I'm a Democrat.
We'll argue now about this and that
But after tonight, I'm a Democrat.

If Sanders wins the nomination he will have my full support.

I already think that Sanders has done a lot of good bringing up important issues. I don't agree with all his policy positions but I appreciate that he's out there talking about these things.
